Oscar-Contending Features ‘Memoir Of A Snail’ And ‘Chicken For Linda’ Now Streaming For Free On The Animation Showcase

The films are available on the platform through the holiday season.

GKIDS is distributing the family feature from celebrated husband-and-wife filmmakers Chiara Malta and Sébastien Laudenbach.

The year’s race features a 1920s-set stop-motion immigration tale, a vibrant mother-daughter story, and a sci-fi noir thriller.

Five features fill out this year’s too-close-to-call animated feature category, while only one animated short made this year’s list.

Among the selections is ‘Chicken for Linda!’ which won the top feature film prize at Annecy last month.

The biggest Annecy ever, by a lot, wrapped tonight with an awards gala befitting its incredible competition lineups.

This year, 23 features will compete at Annecy, 11 in the official competition and 12 in Contrechamp.

Sébastien Laudenbach and Chiara Malta re-team on the colorful animated feature about a high-stakes grocery run.

Annecy will host early looks at projects from Naoko Yamada, Genndy Tartakovsky, Aardman Animations, Skydance Animation, Tonko House, and others.
