The division overseeing Disney Channel, Disney Jr., and Disney+ children’s programming adopts a new name after a corporate review.
The short will premiere this fall on Disney+.
Sapire and her newly-appointed team will oversee development, current and acquired programming for linear and streaming.
She will develop new projects spanning preschool, kids, families, and adults.
She will take over from Gary Marsh, who is leaving to set up a Disney-backed production company.
Marsh, the 33-year Disney veteran behind everything from “Gravity Falls” to “Elena of Avalor,” will produce content for Disney.
As part of their deal, they will identify and develop other Disney projects from emerging and diverse talent.
