Studio Ponoc founder Yoshiaki Nishimura says that ‘The Imaginary’ gave the studio a chance to move outside of its storytelling comfort zone, as well as push the look of their animation.
The film debuts worldwide on Netflix July 5.
The streamer also shared new images for upcoming films ‘The Imaginary,’ ‘Thelma the Unicorn,’ and ‘Ultraman: Rising.’
Ponoc, founded by former Studio Ghibli producer Yoshiaki Nishimura, previously produced ‘Mary and the Witch’s Flower’ and ‘Modest Heroes.’
