‘Miraculous’ Anime-Inspired Special ‘Tokyo Stellar Force’ Coming Nov. 29, Full Series Set For 2027
The Miraculous universe is heading to Japa in a new, anime-inspired one-hour special, Miraculous World: Tokyo Stellar Force.
Premiering on Disney Channel in the U.S. on November 29 before launching on Disney+ in February 2026, the one-hour special serves as the launchpad for the first-ever spinoff of Thomas Astruc’s mega-franchise, which will get a 2D series in 2027.
Produced by Miraculous Corp, the anime-inspired special follows Marinette and Kagami as they team up in Tokyo to battle Moddler, a villain who transforms civilians into kaiju. To save the city, Ladybug must unite a team of Japanese superheroes, the titular Tokyo Stellar Force, equipped with cosmic powers, fusion ships, and the kind of sleek, mech-style suits you’d expect from a Saturday morning anime.
The special blends kung fu comedy, sci-fi action, and heartfelt storytelling aimed at kids ages 5–11, while expanding the scope of the Miraculous world into new mythological territory.
“Tokyo Stellar Force launches the Miraculous universe into bold new territory with a fresh team, mythology, and setting—while keeping the heart that fans love,” said Andy Yeatman, CEO of Miraculous Corp USA and Global Operations.
Following the special, Miraculous Corp plans to debut Miraculous Stellar Force, a 26-episode 2D anime series created by Ladybug creator Astruc, in 2027. Set at an international school in Tokyo, the show follows a group of diverse students who discover they’re guardians of the Stellar Matrix, an ancient cosmic weapon, as they face off against new villains including Moddler and a mysterious entity known as The Supreme.
