The New York Film Critics Circle named The LEGO Movie the best animated film of the year. It’s the second major award for LEGO in as many weeks; last week the Phil Lord/Chris Miller-directed film won the BAFTA Children’s Award.

The N.Y. Film Critics Circle don’t necessarily serve as a bellwether for Oscar success in the feature animation cateogry. Over the last 13 years, the winner of the NYFCC has gone on to win the Oscar just four times: WALL·E (2008), Happy Feet (2006), The Incredibles (2004), and Spirited Away (2002). Last year the NYFCC recognized Miyazaki’s The Wind Rises as the best animated film while the Academy honored Frozen.

During a voting session meeting in New York this morning, the organization tweeted the winners. The LEGO Movie announcement came at 10:26am ET:
