The purpose of this exhibit is to showcase work created by stop motion artists and animators working in New York City. We’d like to present a range of works involved in all steps of the process of making stop motion films—from initial planning phases, i/e/ storyboards, mock-ups, armatures, to the the puppets, sets and films involved in the final product. Our goal is to offer a behind the scenes look at the various, and often invisible phases of making stop motion, and for the exhibit visitors to come away with a renewed appreciation of the range of skills that go into creating stop motion films.
