Following an amazingly well received debut season, Cartoon Brew is launching Season 2 of CB FEST this weekend.

The new season will again shine a spotlight on thrilling and exciting short-form animation filmmaking from around the globe. Starting this Sunday, October 22, at 8pm EST/5pm PST, and every Sunday afterward, Cartoon Brew will present online premieres of hand-picked animated shorts from around the globe. The films will launch simultaneously on Vimeo, Youtube, and Facebook, with additional background information about the films provided right here on the Brew.

For the new season, seven animated shorts were selected from exciting up-and-coming directorial voices in five different countries: Chile, Israel, Canada, Spain, and Switzerland. The line-up is below:

  • Sunday, October 22: Here’s the Plan by Fernanda Frick (Chile)
  • Sunday, October 29: In Other Words by Tal Kantor (Israel)
  • Sunday, November 5: I Am Here by Eoin Duffy (Canada)
  • Sunday, November 12: Lights by Alessandro Novelli (Spain)
  • Sunday, November 19: Immersion by Lalita Brunner (Switzerland)
  • Sunday, November 26: Change by Jonny Ostrem (Canada)
  • Sunday, December 3: Timber by Nils Hedinger (Switzerland)

For Here’s the Plan, I Am Here, and Timber, Cartoon Brew will co-present the premieres with the short film purveyors at Short of the Week, who will offer additional insights and perspectives on the films.
