I saw that show when it first aired. It is still my favorite version of Charles Dickens’ classic story.

  • The REAL Paley Center for Media is my apartment.

I just viewed (for the 500th time) the film, “A-Lad in His Lamp” (the Bugs film with the Genie!) It, i think, even PRE-dates the first Magoo film…. (….by only months!!) His reputed “first film role!” It bears re-watching. What’s downright funny is STILL funny…..the “500th time!”

I wish I could see this. I’ll just have to get a copy of the DVD.

There are only 2 versions of the Dickens classic worth watching:

One is the live-action version starring Alistair Sim.

The other is Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol.
