WHAT IS THE MOST VALUABLE PIECE OF ARTISTIC ADVICE YOU HAVE EVER RECEIVED, AND FROM WHO?
“This is not really advice from a certain person, but something that inspired me to do what I love, to become who I am as an artist: it’s the portfolio of Yung-Chen Nieh, a famous graphic designer in Taiwan. I saw his work in my last year in college, when I was majoring in accounting, which I had no interest in and had no idea what to do with my life. When I looked at his work, I felt like I’d finally found something that spoke to me and that maybe this is something I wanted to do. Whenever I feel depressed or losing faith, I will remind myself the feeling I had at that moment. I wish I can create something that can entertain and inspire people, that makes you laugh or even makes you want to create your own thing.”
