WHAT IS THE MOST VALUABLE PIECE OF ARTISTIC ADVICE YOU HAVE EVER RECEIVED, AND FROM WHO?
“I used to put so much pressure onto myself because I had to make a great portfolio to get a job. I thought that once I get a job, all worries and problems would be gone forever. And it would be the end of my story with a happy ending. But my teacher at Art Center gave me the advice that getting a job should not be a life goal. He said that he also used to think that getting a job was everything, and he confronted emptiness and went through depression. He told me that I need to consider what I ultimately want to draw and paint in my artistic life.”
