These films could have a big impact on the Oscar race.
The awards will be held at UCLA’s Royce Hall on February 26, 2022.
The event is accepting submissions of animated features, series, and shorts until September 3.
From documentaries to crime dramas, exotic birds to reggaeton superstars, these six films cover a lot of bases.

But the number of women invited to join these branches remains well below average.
In all, streamers took 51 nominations against 43 for other platforms. Winners will be announced on July 17.
