Laika Unleashes The Final ‘Wildwood’ Trailer As Fathom Launches Tickets Sales

Laika has released the final trailer for Wildwood, offering the closest look yet at the stop-motion studio’s sprawling fantasy adventure. Tickets are now on sale ahead of the film’s October 23 theatrical release.

Based on the novel by Colin Meloy and Carson Ellis, Wildwood follows teenager Prue McKeel (Peyton Elizabeth Lee) into an enchanted forest beyond Portland, where she sets out to rescue her baby brother from a murder of crows.

Laika president and CEO Travis Knight directed the film, based on a screenplay by Chris Butler. Fathom Entertainment is handling its U.S. theatrical release, with select screenings available in 4DX, DBOX, and Dolby Cinema.

Jacob Tremblay, Carey Mulligan, Mahershala Ali, Angela Bassett, Awkwafina, and Richard E. Grant are among the film’s expansive voice cast.

Wildwood will premiere in the U.S. as the opening-night selection of AFI Fest on October 21 after its BFI London Film Festival world premiere on October 11.
