Witch Hat Atelier Witch Hat Atelier

Crunchyroll is giving Witch Hat Atelier a notable debut next month, pairing a two-episode premiere with a same-day English dub launch on April 6.

The adaptation of Kamome Shirahama’s widely celebrated fantasy manga will drop with its first two episodes streaming back-to-back at 7:00 a.m. PT, with both Japanese audio and English dub available simultaneously. It’s part of a broader push toward day-and-date localization, with additional dubs rolling out in Spanish (Latin American and Castilian), Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, and Arabic.

The show’s story centers on Coco, a curious girl born without magical ability in a world where spellcasting is tightly controlled. After a forbidden experiment goes wrong, she’s taken in by the mysterious witch Qifrey and begins training in hopes of making things right.

Bug Films is producing the show, which is directed by Ayumu Watanabe (Children of the Sea, Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko).

First launched in 2016, Shirahama’s manga has sold more than seven million copies worldwide and picked up major industry recognition, including the Eisner Award and Harvey Awards.
