2025 Ultimate AnimChallenge 2025 Ultimate AnimChallenge

EXCLUSIVE: Over 600 teams of animators have already signed up to participate in the upcoming Ultimate AnimChallenge, an initiative of Agora Studio. The event begins at 9am PT this Saturday, May 24.

The annual competition is a creative sprint in which teams of up to three animators have 24 hours to create an animated piece based on a surprise three-word prompt. At the same time as the competition, a 24-hour livestream features exclusive interviews, live demos, roundtables, and check-ins with artists around the globe.

Registrations is open globally to anyone who is interested in participating in the challenge. Participants are eligible to win a variety of prizes including:

  • Wacom Movink 13 tablets
  • Rokoko Motion Capture Suit and Head Rigs
  • Lifetime TVPaint Pro license
  • Memberships to Aaron Blaise’s online educational platform
  • Mentorship sessions from Agora
  • Poseable artist maquettes from Stickybones
  • 3d character rigs from Ramon Rigs and Wonderwell Studios
  • AnimBot licenses for Autodesk Maya
  • Memberships to Animawarriors online animation school

The livestream headliners are Maya and the Three creator Jorge Gutierrez who will present his talk “Perseverance in the Animation Industry,” Fortiche’s head of character animation Alexis Wanneroy (Arcane) who will give live animation critiques, and Steamroller Animation’s Dragana Stamenković who is presenting a talk on how animators can market themselves and their work across social media.
