Paramount Pictures has appointed veteran animation and toy company executive Jennifer Dodge as the new president of Paramount Animation

As first reported by Variety, Dodge, a major force behind Spin Master’s global hit franchise PAW Patrol, will officially begin her role on January 5, reporting to Paramount Pictures co-chairs Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein.

Dodge has massive shoes to fill, taking over for Ramsey Naito, who departed the studio amid a wide-ranging leadership shakeup tied to Paramount’s $8 billion merger with Skydance Media. The restructuring, led by new Paramount Global chairman and CEO David Ellison, is part of a major realignment expected to cut roughly 2,000 jobs in the United States, with additional layoffs planned internationally.

Goldberg and Greenstein described Dodge as an “exceptional creative executive and producer” with a strong record of building franchises that resonate worldwide. They noted that her experience in storytelling, world-building, and brand development made her the ideal candidate to guide the studio into its next phase.

At Spin Master Entertainment, Dodge served as president of both entertainment and consumer products, overseeing the growth and global reach of the company’s television and film properties. She most notably spearheaded the production of PAW Patrol: The Movie (2021) and its follow-up PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie (2023), both distributed by Paramount Pictures.

Dodge’s career began in television, producing hundreds of episodes of animated programming, including PAW Patrol and Little Charmers. Between her two tenures at Spin Master, she held a senior executive role at Nickelodeon Preschool, where she led the development of new original content aimed at the youngest viewers.

As head of Paramount Animation, Dodge will oversee all aspects of the studio’s operations, from early development through release. Her upcoming slate includes The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants (December 2025), PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie (2026), Avatar: The Last Airbender – Legend of Aang (2026), and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2 (2027).

Dodge said she is honored to join the studio, emphasizing her belief in the power of animation to “inspire, entertain, and unite audiences of all ages.” She added that Paramount’s history of bold, imaginative storytelling will serve as the foundation for “the next generation of unforgettable animated films.”
