Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment have dropped the English-language trailer for the highly anticipated Chainsaw Man feature, coming to theaters on October 24.

Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is produced by Japanese powerhouse Mappa, which also produces the Chainsaw Man series, and adapts the fan-favorite “Reze Arc” from Tatsuki Fujimoto’s original manga, serialized in Shonen Jump+. Helming the project is director Tatsuya Yoshihara, known for his previous work on Chainsaw Man and Black Clover. The screenplay is penned by Hiroshi Seko, a veteran writer celebrated for adapting high-stakes anime such as Attack on Titan and Jujutsu Kaisen.

The new trailer teases the beginning of Denji’s next chapter, introducing audiences to Reze, a mysterious girl whose connection to Denji sparks tender affection and catastrophic danger. Set against a brutal backdrop of devil-versus-hunter warfare, the film promises not only jaw-dropping action familiar to fans of the manga or series, but also one of the most heartbreaking and unforgettable relationships in the franchise’s narrative.

For franchise newcomers, Chainsaw Man follows Denji, a destitute young man working as a Devil Hunter to pay off his late father’s debt to the yakuza. After being betrayed and killed, Denji is revived when his pet devil, Pochita, merges with him, transforming him into the relentless Chainsaw Man. The movie picks up where the series left off, raising the stakes with enemies lurking in the shadows and the fragile hope of love colliding with the cruelty of survival.

Crunchyroll also dropped a recap for anyone looking to freshen up on the show’s story before hitting the theater.

With its mix of visceral action, untethered emotion, and Mappa’s thrilling animation, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is shaping up to be one of the year’s most anticipated anime features.

Tickets are expected to go on sale later this year, with more announcements to follow as the release date approaches.
