Titmouse co-founder Chris Prynoski (Nerdland) is developing a new animated feature, Foxy Trotter, with actress Natalie Portman and her production company, Fairy Dust.

Set in 1970s Los Angeles and following the adventures of a rock photographer named Foxy Trotter, the film is based on a screenplay written by Jess Rotter, Michael Reich, Jessica Hindley and Mike Pinkney. Here’s a synopsis:

LA in the 70s, and everything is sex, drugs and rock & roll. Super-talented and gorgeous rock photographer Foxy Trotter is always looking for that perfect shot that will ‘save the world’. But when rival snapper Gunter steals her film, as well as compromising photos of her childhood friend, singer Ronnie, Foxy has no choice but to saddle up her legendary motorbike and follow Ronnie on the Mayem K-Hog Tour. So begins a crazy road trip across the freakiest, most surreal parts of America and through a parallel psychedelic dimension known as the O-zone, to rescue her friend, her reputation… and the world from a demonic apocalypse… An irreverent animated movie starring the sexiest heroine you’ve ever seen, Foxy Trotter is a wild musical journey into the furthest reaches of the permissive 1970s.

Prynoski will produce the film through Titmouse with Portman, who is set to voice one of the characters. Bold Films is also on board as a producer.

The film is currently in script stage. Paris-based sales company Wild Bunch is shopping the script around this week at American Film Market in Los Angeles.
