The ideal candidate possesses strong technical and excellent communication skills, as well as a firm understanding of software design, graphics, and production work flow. Requirements include 3+ years experience as a technical director with a focus on animation or rigging pipelines, proficiency in Python APIs and Mel scripting and knowledge of Maya, Houdini and Nuke.

Company: Cartoon Conrad Productions
Location: Beaverbank, Canada

Cartoon Conrad, a boutique studio specializing in children’s TV shows as well as various creative and experimental shorts, is on the hunt for talented 2D animators. This is an exciting, new high quality project, so a strong use of animation talent is needed and applicants must be proficient in 2D digital character animation in Adobe Flash. They are also hiring talented clean up artists and After Effects artists.

Southwest University of Visual Arts has full and part time opportunities available to qualified applicants with a BA and 5 years experience or MA/MFA in Animation. Duties include instructing students according to the established curriculum provided, grading all assignments, quizzes, and exams an attending instructor meetings. Experience in 3D modeling/animation, 3D sculpting, digital film making and/or motion graphics is preferred. Prior teaching experience is not required.
