Goodfellas Animation, the sales agent for current Oscar nominees Arco and Little Amélie and the Character of Rain, is heading into the 2026 European Film Market with two new projects aimed at the international family and kids’ sector, reinforcing the Paris-based company’s position as both a producer and sales outfit for animated features and series.

As first reported by Deadline, the company is introducing Lucy Lost, a feature film adaptation of a children’s novel by author Michael Morpurgo, alongside Treasure Trekkers, an original animated series currently seeking partners and buyers in Berlin.

Lucy Lost, a Cartoon Brew pick at Cartoon Forum 2019 and Annecy Work in Progress title last summer, turns on a young girl whose courage and imagination guide her through a dangerous journey after she becomes separated from someone close to her. Produced by I Lost My Body studio Xilam and directed by Olivier Clert, the feature is adapted from Michael Morpurgo’s Listen to the Moon, and marks Goodfellas’ latest effort to bring well-known literary material into the animation space.

Early visual materials are being presented at EFM to spark interest from international distributors and financiers, and this one looks like a strong festival and awards contender.

Also debuting at the market is director Kevin Munroe’s Treasure Trekkers, a spin-off of the popular CGI-animated series of the same name aimed at younger audiences. The show follows a group of young explorers whose quests blend humor, mystery, and action. Canadian studio Squeezeis handling animation, with Alan Cumming, Jack McBrayer, Greg Cipes, Tara Strong, Meredith Bull, and John DiMaggio attached as voice talent.

This year’s EFM is shaping up to be one of the most important early-season animation marketplaces, with Berlin’s European Film Market partnering with the Annecy Festival to launch a new three-day Animation Days program that underscores a broader industry push to spotlight animated features and series at a traditionally quiet point in the calendar. Goodfellas looks like an early adopter, with many others likely to follow.
