Launchpad Series Launchpad Series

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) and Costa Rica’s Mundoloco CGI have announced the seven finalists for their new Launchpad Series, a development competition within the VS Animation! initiative – hosted within the Ventana Sur audiovisual market- that aims to accelerate the growth of Latin America’s animation industry.

The WBD + Mundoloco CGI Launchpad Series was created to support original animated series concepts from across Latin America, focusing on projects with strong international co-production and distribution potential.

Each finalist team will participate in one-on-one meetings with executives from both organizations. Following the sessions, one project will be chosen to receive a six-month development deal, co-funded by WBD and Mundoloco CGI. The winning project will be officially announced at the Ventana Sur Awards Ceremony on December 5 in Buenos Aires.

Over the six-month development period, the winning team will receive artistic and strategic mentorship, as well as guidance on key asset development, including the show bible, teaser script, and production and financing plans. The partnership also includes support for international market preparation, including pitching, positioning, and roadmap development.
