Louca Louca

Louca, a new CG-animated comedy based on the hit French comic book series of the same name, is heading to MIPCOM with significant production and distribution momentum.

Distributor Studio 100 International has announced a raft of pre-sales and co-production deals, led by commissioning broadcaster TF1, alongside partners RTBF in Belgium, TFOU Max in France, RTS in Switzerland, and TV5 Monde, with other agreements reportedly in the works.

A co-production between France’s Media Valley and Belgium’s Belvision, Louca adapts the best-selling series published by Dupuis, which has sold more than a million copies in French-speaking markets and been translated into several languages. The show is directed by Cyril Adam, known for his work on Miraculous Ladybug.

Described as “a kind-hearted but clumsy teenager who dreams of becoming a football hero – with a little help from Nathan, the ghost of his school’s former team captain. Only Louca can see Nathan, and together they navigate friendship, self-belief, and the unpredictable highs and lows of growing up,” the series mixes high-end CG with family-friendly comedy across 26 x 22-minute episodes.

A wide coalition of French and Belgian institutions, including CNC, regional funds from Grand Est and Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Wallimage, and others, has provided production support.

The rollout is cleverly timed to coincide with the 2026 World Cup, with initial episodes due by mid-2026 and full delivery in the second half of the year. As well as handling worldwide distribution, Studio 100 International will manage global licensing and merchandising, while TF1 Licensing oversees those rights in French-speaking territories.

Louca will be showcased to buyers during MIPCOM, adding another kids and family title to Studio 100’s portfolio alongside the likes of Maya the Bee, Heidi, and 100% Wolf.
