Here on Cartoon Brew, we’ve been paying close attention to how studios are continuing production during lockdown. But independent artists have been just as enterprising, using this period of isolation to try out new creative ideas.

Below is a sample of indie lockdown animation that we’ve enjoyed. These shorts come from countries around the world, spanning from the U.S. to Ghana. Some provide comic relief; others reflect the gravity of the time. Some aren’t even about the coronavirus at all.
