“Overcast” by James Lancett and Sean Weston

Welcome to the launch of the second annual Cartoon Brew Student Animation Festival. Over the next ten weeks, we’ll be debuting these ten remarkable student animated shorts.

We’re pleased to kick things off this week with Overcast, a film created by James Lancett and Sean Weston at Kingston University. We chose the film for its elegantly simple visual concept, heartfelt character-driven storytelling, and striking marriage of animation and live-action backgrounds.
