A24 Unleashes ‘Ne Zha 2’ Trailer As Chinese Box Office Titan Eyes Western Success

A24 debuts ‘Ne Zha 2’s’ English trailer; the record-breaking Chinese animated epic hits theaters in the US, Canada, and beyond on August 22.

The highest-grossing animated film of all time will hit theaters in several English-language territories on August 22, distributed by A24.

The series will debut on the platform in January of next year.

The series explores “the experiences of a Muslim American family that must learn how to code-switch as they navigate the early 2000s.”

Their runner-up award also went to a stop-motion film: ‘Marcel the Shell with Shoes On.’

Eighteen out of twenty NYFCC animated feature winners have gone on to earn Oscar nominations.

The Academy also confirmed that ‘Marcel the Shell with Shoes On’ and Canada’s ‘Eternal Spring’ are eligible for consideration.

With a $128 million launch, Minions signals the return of big box office animated features.

A24 has dropped the trailer for Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, coming to theaters this summer.

Creator Vivienne Medrano independently developed and produced the “Hazbin Hotel” pilot, which has been viewed over 41 million times on Youtube.
