At New York Comic Con earlier this month, Disney-owned Marvel unveiled test footage from its Guardians of the Galaxy animated series, which will premiere in 2015 on Disney XD’s Marvel Universe programming block. Marvel Animation Studio will produce the series.

The show’s supervising director is Leo Riley (supervising director on Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United, technical director on Sofia the First and TRON: Uprising); exec producers are Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and head of Marvel Television), Alan Fine (Iron Man, Thor), Dan Buckley (Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.), and Joe Quesada (Marvel’s Avengers Assemble). The Disney/Marvel feature film on which the series is based has earned $730 million worldwide since opening internationally on July 31st.
