Aardman’s ‘Chicken Run: Eggstraction’ Video Game Gets October Release Date, Early-Bird Demo Available Now

Aardman and Outright Games have revealed that Chicken Run: Eggstraction, an upcoming stealth-action game inspired by the popular Chicken Run franchise, will launch on October 24. Gamers interested in an appetizer to tide them over are in luck, as an early bird special demo is currently available on Steam, running through August 18.

The demo offers players the chance to step into the feathers of their favorite characters across six levels. Gameplay promises high-stakes stealth missions filled with security cameras to dodge, guards to outwit, and disguises to don. The game can be played single-player or two-player local co-op, combining stealth and special abilities to pull off daring infiltrations.

Following up on Aardman’s 2023 feature Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget, the game continues the story with an all-star voice cast including Bella Ramsey, Josie Sedgwick-Davies, Amelia Dimoldenberg, and Romesh Ranganathan. The narrative, written by Larry Rickard (Ghosts, Horrible Histories), pits the chickens against the sinister nugget industry once more.
