EXCLUSIVE CLIP: The Fairest One Of All

Perhaps the best book of animation history and Disney scholarship being published this year, The Fairest One Of All: The Making of Walt Disney’s Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, will go on sale next week. I’ve seen it, I have it, I’ve read it… and I’m urging you to buy it. You will not be disappointed. The publisher produced this exclusive (to Cartoon Brew) promo clip featuring author J.B. Kaufman and Diane Disney Miller (she wrote the foreword) discussing the project. If this doesn’t whet your appetite, you are reading the wrong blog…

  • Heigh-ho, heigh-ho it’s off to the bookstore I go! I’ve been waiting for this book for sometime. Can’t wait! J.B. Kaufman’s books on Walt Disney’s history are essential for any Disney fan, movie buff, film teacher and motion picture historian.

  • I knew I forgot to pre-order something! Thanks for the reminder.

  • Looks lovely! Definitely gonna pick it up.

    Thanks for the reminder!

  • Looking forward to this.

  • This book is scheduled to be released Oct 16 the same day as another Snow White book “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: The Art and Creation of Walt Disney’s Classic Animated Film” by the same author, J.B. Kaufman. But it’s less than half the price according to Amazon. Both are Hardback. What’s up?

    • One is on the making of the feature, while the other is about the art showcased in a special gallery exhibit at The Walt Disney Family Museum at The Presidio in San Francisco.

      • Thanks for the info. And I’m glad I discovered your blog.

I picked up both books last week. They are incredibly beautiful and remarkably informative. They’ll probably be two of the most popular Christmas ”Gift Books” this year. And those who get them should be thrilled!.

Both these books are magnificent tomes which I now own – but no self respecting Disney Snow White fan should be without the Pierre Lambert book Blanche Neige which is a truly splendid volume with stunning reproduction of the Disney artwork , and next year Lambert is bringing out a companion volume on Sleeping Beauty the title is La Belle Au Bois Dormant look out for both these titles on Amazon.fr the French Amazon website!
