Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc. kicked off San Diego Comic-Con 2025 with an announcement-packed panel titled Gundam Showcase – Featuring 30 Years of Gundam Wing. Celebrating the iconic anime’s legacy, the panel revealed theatrical releases, manga, and commemorative content spanning multiple Gundam franchises.

In honor of Gundam Wing’s 30th anniversary, a new illustration inspired by the classic anime was unveiled alongside a special video titled Mobile Suit Gundam Wing – Operation 30th,” directed by Toru Iwasawa. Available now on GundamInfo’s YouTube channel, the video introduces new characters and mobile suits, including a “Cloaked Custom” unit and characters such as Adin Lowe and Meilan.

Adding to the celebration, illustrator Sakura Asagi and screenwriter Katsuyuki Sumizawa have teamed up for a new manga series titled Mobile Suit Gundam Wing 0.5 Point Half Prevernter-7, bridging the events between Endless Waltz and Frozen Teardrop. Chapter 1 is available now in English.

The fan-favorite Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz is set for a limited theatrical re-release this fall at the Japan Society with Japanese audio and English subtitles.

Also announced was the Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans 10th anniversary project, reuniting original staff including director Tatsuyuki Nagai. A special compilation film, Urdr-Hunt – Path of the Little Challenger, will be released theatrically in Japan on October 31, with a North American release forthcoming.

Finally, the panel revealed the next chapter in the Hathaway saga: Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway – The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, slated for a Japanese theatrical release next winter, with a North American premiere planned.
