Apparently, it’s auction season, and Aardman fans now have a chance to own original puppets, artwork, and production materials from across the studio’s five-decade history.

As part of its 50th-anniversary celebrations, Aardman has partnered with Propstore for an auction featuring more than 220 lots connected to nearly every production in its catalog. Bidding opened today and concludes with a live auction on September 24.

Highlights include screen-used Wallace, Gromit, Feathers McGraw, and Norbot puppets from Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, as well as a Shaun puppet from the upcoming feature Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom.

Also available are puppets from Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget, Farmageddon, Robin Robin, and Early Man. The collection reaches back to Aardman’s beginnings with Morph and Chas puppets made by studio co-founder Peter Lord.

Every lot starts at £100 ($135). The auction also includes original sketches, storyboards, miniature props, production stills, signed memorabilia, and a studio visit and lunch with Lord.

Proceeds will support Aardman’s talent-development initiatives, including Aardman Academy bursaries, skills programs, and opportunities for emerging filmmakers.

The complete collection is available through Propstore’s online catalog. Online, absentee, and telephone bidding will be open worldwide.
