AniMazSpot 2012 announces its first six studio tours, with another six in the works. Free Tours of Animation Studios, Schools, and Archives were such a success at the AniMazSpot 2011 festival week that they’re back again this year, with about a dozen planned. Some have been brought back for this year’s festival goers, and others are available for the first time.

AniMazSpot 2011 had a tour of Disney’s main lot in Burbank, given by Mitch Richon. This year there’ll be a similar tour, but conducted by Disney Legend, Floyd Norman. The tour of DreamWorks in Glendale will be followed by lunch on the lot. Fred Crippen will be back again to give festival goers a look at his Pantomime studio in Studio City. Jason Mendoza is also back again to show the fantastic Gnomon hi-tech school in Hollywood, and Peggy Alexander will give a tour of the impressive UCLA Film and Television Archives in Westwood, featuring their Walter Lantz Collection. Plus, this year AniMazSpot 2012 features a Mystery Tour, guaranteed to please.

Tours are scheduled September 10 thru 14, the weekdays leading up to the main events of the Sept 15/16 weekend, and are available for all festival goers who purchase tickets to the Woodbury events.
