Although we’ve not yet seen the results of their recently announced joint endeavor, Webtoon Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation (WBA) are already expanding their partnership with four more webcomic adaptations headed into animation development, although their planned formats were not outlined in the companies’ shared release.

The companies announced today that The Wolf & Red Riding Hood, Vampire Family, Sable Curse, and Snow and Briar (And The Mirror of Seven Sins) have joined a rapidly expanding slate of animated projects based on Webtoon originals. The news was revealed during a featured panel at Web Summit Vancouver 2026 by Webtoon Entertainment CFO David J. Lee and Warner Bros. Animation president Sam Register.

The companies’ partnership was first announced last year, when they revealed development plans for titles including Elf & Warrior, Down to Earth, The Stellar Swordmaster, and Hardcore Leveling Warrior. The collaboration reflects the broader industry rush toward digital comics IP, with studios increasingly looking to the medium as a source of built-in audiences and franchise-ready storytelling.

The Wolf & Red Riding Hood, created by Xuann, follows Anna, a high school student who wakes up one day covered in hair, unusually strong, and suddenly craving meat. Things get worse when she starts growing wolf ears and a tail, sending her scrambling to stop herself from fully transforming before the next full moon.

In Vampire Family by unfins, a vampire named Natalia attempts to live a normal teenage life by attending school and making friends. Her plans become more complicated when she realizes her new seatmate may not be entirely human either.

Little Melon’s Sable Curse centers on Terron, a young woman cursed to die at 19 unless she can break the spell hanging over her family. A stay at a mysterious, magical estate introduces her to a world of wealthy elites, hidden agendas, and secrets that may hold the key to surviving her fate.

Snow and Briar (And The Mirror of Seven Sins) by M. Nires twists familiar fairy-tale imagery into a romantic fantasy about Prince Snow, who is forced into marriage with the imposing Princess Briar by his scheming stepmother. While Briar initially appears infatuated with Snow, the story hints at darker motives underneath the surface.

Webtoon has spent the past couple of years aggressively establishing partnerships with film and TV companies, including major studios and streamers. The company previously teamed with Amazon MGM Studios on a planned adaptation of Lore Olympus, while The Walt Disney Company recently partnered with Webtoon on a slate of digital comics projects tied to Disney franchises.

Warner Bros. Animation’s continued investment in the platform suggests the studio sees webcomics as a long-term development pipeline rather than a short-lived trend.
