Miyu, Les Films Du Préau Will Bring Joeri Christiaen’s Modern-Day Fable ‘The Wolf’s Dinner’ To Theaters

Miyu Distribution and Les Films du Préau have boarded The Wolf’s Dinner, a new 30-minute animated special written and directed by Mush-Mush and My Knight and Me director Joeri Christiaen.

Les Films du Préau will distribute the family film theatrically in France and French-speaking Belgium, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. Miyu will handle worldwide theatrical and festival distribution.

Produced by La Cabane and Thuristar, The Wolf’s Dinner follows Billie, a young lamb determined to prove that sheep can be courageous. She sets out to trap the mysterious wolf living nearby, only to uncover a reality that challenges everything her clan believes. The modern fable explores how prejudice, inherited stories, and collective fears shape perceptions of those deemed different.

The project is being made primarily with Blender, with 2D sequences created in TVPaint. Christiaen also serves as art director and collaborated with development consultant Claire Paoletti (Shooom’s Odyssey) and script editor Julia Smuts Louw (Star Wars: Visions – Aau’s Song).

The English-language voice cast includes Andy Serkis, T’Nia Miller, and young actor Iris Onyejiuwa. A French-language cast will be announced this fall.

Cake is handling international audiovisual rights. Broadcasters already attached include Canal+, VRT-Ketnet, RTBF, ZDF, RTS, and TV5Monde. The film is currently listed with a 2027 copyright.
