‘Claynosaurz’ Studio Heeboo Appoints Two-Time Emmy Winner Sherry Gunther Shugerman As Co-CEO
Heeboo, a forward-thinking entertainment studio founded by the team behind the viral digital-first property Claynosaurz, has appointed two-time Emmy Award-winning producer and media executive Sherry Gunther Shugerman as co-CEO.

Gunther Shugerman is a veteran of some of television’s most influential animated series of the past three decades, including The Simpsons, Family Guy, Rugrats, Dexter’s Laboratory, and The Powerpuff Girls. She has held senior leadership roles at 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., Hanna-Barbera, and Nickelodeon, and was part of the team that helped launch Cartoon Network.
Beyond the studio system, Gunther Shugerman has launched several kids’ media and consumer brands, including ZooKazoo and The Beatrix Girls. Most recently, she produced Zack Snyder’s Twilight of the Gods, a Netflix original adult animated series.
Gunther Shugerman will work alongside fellow Co-CEO Andrew Pelekis to lead Heeboo’s continued expansion as it builds a slate of digital-first IPs. The company hopes to redefine how entertainment franchises are created, financed, and owned, as explained by Claynosaurz co-founder and creative director Nic Cabana at last week’s View Conference.
“Sherry’s track record of building and scaling global franchises is unmatched,” said Pelekis in a release. “Her experience leading some of the most beloved animated series and her entrepreneurial drive make her the perfect partner to help guide Heeboo into its next phase. She understands not only how to build great stories, but how to turn them into enduring cultural brands.”
Gunther Shugerman said she was drawn to Heeboo’s creator-first vision. “I’m excited to join Heeboo at such a pivotal time for the industry. The way stories are created, distributed, and owned is changing. Heeboo’s vision to empower fans, creators, and investors through a shared ecosystem of ownership and participation is exactly what the entertainment world needs next.”
Heeboo describes itself as an entertainment launchpad powered by superfans, combining storytelling, tokenized ownership, and community engagement to build new franchises validated by audiences before they reach mass distribution.
