Judy And Nick Return In ‘Zootopia 2’ Trailer, But Their Partnership Is On Thin Ice
Walt Disney Animation Studios has debuted a new trailer and poster (seen at the bottom of this article) for Zootopia 2, the sequel to its 2016 Academy Award-winning feature. The film opens in U.S. theaters on November 26.
Here are the key details from today’s release:
- Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde return as ZPD officers, but their partnership is under pressure. Chief Bogo assigns them to the department’s “Partners in Crisis” counseling program following mounting tensions. A new mystery unfolds when a venomous snake arrives in Zootopia, drawing the pair into a case that challenges their bond and puts them on the trail of a deeper conspiracy. - The film is directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard and produced by Yvett Merino. Bush, who also serves as chief creative officer at Disney Animation, returns as writer and co-director.
- The film introduces several new characters, including Gary De’Snake (voiced by Ke Huy Quan), Nibbles (Fortune Feimster), and quokka therapist Dr. Fuzzby (Quinta Brunson).
