Pixar Drops New Extended Trailer for Daniel Chong’s ‘Hoppers,’ Unveils Massive Ensemble Voice Cast
Pixar has unveiled a new, extended trailer for Hoppers, the March 6, 2026, theatrical feature debut of We Bare Bears creator Daniel Chong.
Today’s trailer digs deeper into the film’s high-concept premise. In a world where humans can “hop” their consciousness into robotic animals, Mabel, a tech-savvy animal lover, dives headfirst into life as a beaver. What starts as a chance to communicate with wildlife spirals into an adventure that sees her accidentally inspiring, then desperately trying to contain, an animal uprising against territory-hogging humans.
Joining previously announced leads Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, and Jon Hamm are Meryl Streep, Dave Franco, Kathy Najimy, Eduardo Franco, Melissa Villaseñor, Ego Nwodim, Vanessa Bayer, Sam Richardson, Aparna Nancherla, Nichole Sakura, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Steve Purcell, Karen Huie, and Tom Law.
“We have assembled a legendary cast for Hoppers, and the voice talent really gave the film all they had,” said Chong and producer Nicole Paradis Grindle in a joint statement. “Be it uproarious humor, heartfelt emotion, or crazy animal noises, they delivered beyond our expectations.”
If this new look is any indication, Hoppers leans harder into comedy, world-building, and creature-centric spectacle than its self-aware first teaser suggested. And while the sci-fi premise is front and center, the film also appears grounded in the natural world, closer in tone to The Wild Robot, a recent hit for DreamWorks, than to Pixar’s recent sci-fi stumbles with Elio and Lightyear.
Whether the feathered and furry feature can translate that energy into a box-office rebound remains to be seen, but the studio will certainly be hoping this is the start of its next big franchise.
