Disney+ Unveils Trailer For Xilam Animation’s ‘The Doomies’
Disney+ has released the trailer for The Doomies, a new supernatural comedy-adventure series from French studio Xilam Animation that will debut on the platform on June 26.
The series follows best friends Bobby and Romy, whose quiet coastal hometown is thrown into chaos when they accidentally open a portal, unleashing an invasion of monstrous creatures. As they investigate the mystery behind the outbreak, the pair must confront both supernatural threats and their own personal challenges.
Alongside the show’s debut, Disney+ will also launch four companion shorts: Doug Unfiltered, Ghosted By A Ghost, Creepy Crepe, and What Is That Thing?
The series was co-created by Andrés Fernandez, Rémi “Pozla” Zaarour, and Henry Gifford, with Fernandez directing all 22 episodes. Xilam founder Marc du Pontavice serves as producer. Its voice cast includes Max Mittelman, Madison Calderon, Noel Gibson, Jon Bailey, and Zehra Fazal.
The launch comes as The Doomies gets set to compete at this year’s Annecy in the TV Films category. Its episode “Night of the Fishing Dead” was chosen from more than 2,400 submissions and will screen during the festival, which runs June 21-27.
