Tubi is expanding its adult animation ambitions through its Animation+ Studios banner, adding two new original series that continue its focus on creator-led, internet-native comedy.

Animation+ Studios has positioned itself around irreverent, fandom-oriented projects, and previously brought titles like The Cyanide & Happiness Show and Purgatony onto the platform.

The first of the new projects, Toon World Express, is a mixed-media animated clip show created by Marc M., David Dore, and Joey Souza of Cartoon Trap House. The series blends traditional animation, collage techniques, and rapid-fire absurdist humor, pulling together contributions from a wide range of online animation creators. It is scheduled to premiere in spring 2026 and leans heavily into the anything-goes sensibility that defines much of today’s independent web animation.

Also joining the slate is America’s Next Top Cryptid, from ExplosmEntertainment, the team behind Cyanide & Happiness. Created by Rob DenBleyker, Kris Wilson, Adam Nusrallah, and Connor Murphy, the series follows a group of cryptid contestants competing in a reality show format, only to uncover that the competition may be part of a controlled experiment. The show is set for a fall 2026 debut.

Together, the two projects demonstrate Tubi’s continued investment in original animation from outside the traditional studio systems. By leaning on established online creators that bring their fan bases with them, the platform is building a slate that reflects the fragmented, creator-driven landscape of contemporary animation rather than attempting to replicate legacy models.
