‘BoJack Horseman’ Creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg’s New Series ‘Long Story Short’ Gets First Trailer
Netflix has released the official trailer for Long Story Short, a new animated series from BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg coming to the platform on August 22.
Long Story Short follows the lives of the Schwooper siblings as they navigate the messiness of growing up and getting older. Jumping back and forth through time, the show chronicles their victories, setbacks, relationships, and everything in between.
Speaking with Variety last month, Bob-Waksberg talked about the visual differences between BoJack and his new series, apparent in trailer. “There are ways in which this show is much cartoonier than BoJack, just in the movement of the characters and the sketchiness of the backgrounds,” he explained. “In the design, we are leaning into more of the impressionistic or expressionistic. I can never remember which is which, but whichever one applies.”
Long Story Short features a powerhouse voice cast, including Paul Reiser, Lisa Edelstein, Ben Feldman, Angelique Cabral, Max Greenfield, Abbi Jacobson, and Nicole Byer, with guest appearances from Dave Franco and Michaela Dietz.
Produced by Tornante Television and animated by ShadowMachine, the series’ creative team includes BoJack veterans Lisa Hanawalt, Noel Bright, Steven A. Cohen, Corey Campodonico, and Alex Bulkley.
