The Television Academy has announced its juried winners for the 77th Emmy Awards, with Netflix’s Arcane and Love, Death + Robots sweeping the animation honors. Both are nominated for Outstanding Animated Program this year, and will hope to ride the Creative Arts Emmy wins to further glory at next month’s ceremony.

The awards, which have no nominees and are decided through peer-panel deliberations, recognize individual achievements in Animation, Costume, Emerging Media, and Motion Design.

In the Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation category, Arcane picked up two trophies:

  • Background Design: Bruno Couchinho for “The Dirt Under Your Nails”
  • Color: Faustine Dumontier for “The Message Hidden Within the Pattern”

Meanwhile, Love, Death + Robots took home four awards:

  • Character Animation: Daryl Graham for “400 Boys”
  • Character Design: Robert Valley for “400 Boys”
  • Production Design: Gigi Cavenago for “How Zeke Got Religion”
  • Storyboard: Edgar Martins for “How Zeke Got Religion”

Beyond animation, Outstanding Motion Design went to Octopus! (Prime Video), with a team including Minkyung Chung, Michaela Olsen, Hayley Morris, Julie Gratz, Anthony Galante, and Sabrina Chaney.

The Creative Arts Emmys will also honor Outstanding Innovation in Emerging Media Programming, awarded to White Rabbit (Shibuya), and Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Programming, awarded to Beyoncé Bowl (Netflix).

These juried awards will be presented at the Creative Arts Emmys on September 6 and 7 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, ahead of the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards telecast on September 14 on CBS and Paramount+.
