Richard Williams Joins Twitter, Animation World Rejoices
The legendary triple Oscar-winning animator and director responsible for Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Thief and the Cobbler, and so much more has joined social media at last.
Just setting up my Twitter. #myfirstTweet

The sprightly 82-year-old Richard Williams logged onto Twitter earlier today, posting a couple of introductory tweets, including one prefacing drawings of anatomy that the artist and teacher is “restudying.” With quite a bit of precision, we might add.
Dipping my toe into Twitter as I restudy #anatomy. It's been a lifetime study. Just drew 6 pages on feet and legs pic.twitter.com/otpRHwUF3b

Hopefully, it’s a glimpse of much more to come, as Williams is not only a fount of animation lore and technique, but he is also rolling out a brand new short film, Prologue, which he premiered last month at the Annecy animation festival. Earlier Cartoon Brew shared its own reaction about the film on Twitter:
Richard Williams' new film PROLOGUE is an incredible piece of craft—can't think of another living animator capable of producing such a piece
