Coyote Vs Acme Coyote Vs Acme

Coyote vs. Acme continued its inspirational theatrical run over the weekend, grossing $13.5 million worldwide and landing in fourth place on Comscore’s global chart.

The live-action/animation hybrid added $6.2 million domestically, where it finished fifth, according to Box Office Mojo. That represented a 48% decline from its impressive $12 million second weekend, although that was a holiday frame, and brought its domestic total to $47.8 million.

International audiences contributed another $7.3 million over the weekend, lifting the film’s overseas haul to $35 million. After three weekends, Coyote vs. Acme has now grossed $82.8 million worldwide.

That puts the Dave Green-directed feature comfortably past its reported $70 million production budget, although distributors don’t recoup theatrical grosses in full and that figure doesn’t include marketing expenses. Ketchup Entertainment reportedly paid around $50 million to acquire the completed film after Warner Bros. Discovery abandoned plans to release it.

The film’s sustained performance continues to make Warners’s decision look increasingly questionable. After opening fifth worldwide with $23.9 million, Coyote vs. Acme rose to third during its second frame and remained in the global top five this weekend despite the arrival of Practical Magic 2, which debuted at number one with $46 million.

Elsewhere, Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie rounded out Comscore’s global top ten with $6.45 million over the weekend. The animated sequel has now earned $146.4 million worldwide, including $51.4 million domestically and $95 million internationally.

All box office figures are estimates. Domestic figures come from Box Office Mojo, global and international figures from Comscore.
