Warner Bros. Drops Main Trailer For ‘The Cat In The Hat’

Warner Bros. Pictures Animation’s first full-length feature, The Cat in the Hat, has a new trailer ahead of its upcoming release in theaters and IMAX on November 6, 2026.

Directed by Erica Rivinoja and Alessandro Carloni from their own screenplay and animated by DNEG, the film stars Bill Hader as Dr. Seuss’ famously unruly feline. This time, the Cat works for the Institute for the Institution of Imagination and Inspiration, an organization that dispatches him to help children in need. His latest assignment is to cheer up Gabby and Sebastian, siblings struggling after moving to a new town. But with the Cat’s tendency to take things too far, failure could cost him his magical hat.

The project, a key release for WBPA and boss Bill Damaschke, was a perhaps surprising standout at this summer’s Annecy Festival, where it got an extremely well-received Work in Progress session.

In addition to Hader’s lead performance, the film’s voice cast also includes Matt Berry, Quinta Brunson, Xochitl Gomez, Giancarlo Esposito, America Ferrera, Tituss Burgess, Bowen Yang, Paula Pell, and Tiago Martinez.

Daniela Mazzucato and Jared Stern produce, with animation veteran Dan Molina editing and Lorne Balfe composing the score.
