Live Updates: ‘Ne Zha 2’ To Surpass All Disney Animated Films, Will Become Highest-Grossing Theatrical Animation Release

It’s been a booty-full week, from Gru butt in yesterday’s Despicable Me 3 trailer to baby bottoms in today’s new trailer released for Dreamworks’ The Boss Baby, opening March 31, 2017 in the United States.

The plot to the Alec Baldwin-vehicle is fairly obvious from the trailer (perhaps too obvious), so no need to recap it here. But it’s worth noting that the film is based on a book by Marla Frazee and adapted for the screen by Michael McCullers (Saturday Night Live, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me),

Boss Baby is directed by Dreamworks vet Tom McGrath, who co-directed all three Madagascar films and Megamind. Ramsey Ann Naito is producing the film.

It will be the second-to-last film released by 20th Century Fox (Captain Underpants will be the last) before Dreamworks animated movies start being released by Universal.
