Netflix Renews ‘BoJack’ Creator’s ‘Long Story Short’ For Second Season Ahead Of Series Premiere
Netflix has given an early Season 2 greenlight to Long Story Short, the upcoming animated comedy from BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg, which also got a new trailer today. The early renewal suggests strong confidence in the series ahead of its August 22 debut.
Here’s what we know about the show:
- Long Story Short follows the Schwooper siblings across decades, exploring their lives through time-jumping episodes that capture their highs, lows, and everything in between.
- The series is created, written, and executive produced by Raphael Bob-Waksberg.
- Produced by Tornante Television, animation is handled by ShadowMachine, with Corey Campodonico and Alex Bulkley serving as co-executive producers. Executive producers include Noel Bright and Steven A. Cohen. Lisa Hanawalt is the supervising producer, with Jack Shih as supervising director.
- Voice cast includes Lisa Edelstein, Paul Reiser, Ben Feldman, Abbi Jacobson, Max Greenfield, Angelique Cabral, and Nicole Byer. Recurring guest stars include Dave Franco and Michaela Dietz.
- We saw the first episode for Annecy this year, and the show promises something entirely different than what fans of BoJack Horseman may expect. That said, a great deal of the show’s humor and its sometimes uncomfortable honesty will likely strike a chord with fans of Bob-Waksberg’s work.
