MeTV Toons, the television network dedicated to classic animation, will pay tribute to Eric Bauza this Saturday, October 31, with a broadcast of Hare’s to Bugs! A Bugs Bunny Celebration, followed by a selection of classic Warner Bros. shorts.

The hour-long special, which originally debuted in 2024, will air at 7 p.m. ET/PT and features Bauza discussing Bugs Bunny’s enduring appeal. For a performer whose enthusiasm for animation history was as much a part of his public presence as the voices themselves, the program offers a fitting opportunity to revisit his affection for the characters he helped carry forward.

In a statement, Neal Sabin, vice chairman of MeTV Toons parent company Weigel Broadcasting, remembered both Bauza’s artistry and his support for the network:

Eric Bauza’s undeniable talent brought new life to voices generations have loved. His talent, humor, and deep respect for the art form helped ensure that the magic of classic animation continued to resonate across generations. While his passing is an enormous loss to the animation community, the joy he brought to audiences through these beloved characters will forever continue and always remind us of him.

Eric was so supportive of our efforts with MeTV Toons as well as MeTV’s daily cartoon morning show, Toon in with Me. He went above and beyond for us, with his warmth and wit and talent to rival Mel Blanc. We mourn the loss of our dear friend.

At 8 p.m., Bugs Bunny and Friends will follow, featuring the shorts Pre-hysterical Hare, Birds Anonymous, One Froggy Evening, and Fast and Furry-ous.

MeTV Toons is available through local broadcast affiliates, major pay-TV providers, and streaming services including Philo, Frndly TV, Fubo, and DirecTV Stream. Viewers can find local availability at MeTVToons.com.
