Saturday Morning Cartoons United has postponed The Heroes of Townsville, its Powerpuff Girls reunion fundraiser scheduled for November 7 at Glendale’s Alex Theatre, after co-founder Eric Bauza’s sudden death. Organizers said there are no plans to reschedule at this time.
Bauza, who was set to host the evening, died October 25 at age 46. The previously announced event was to bring together series creator Craig McCracken, artists Lauren Faust and Paul Rudish, and original voice cast members Catherine Cavadini, Tara Strong, and E.G. Daily, with Linda Simensky moderating.
“The outpouring of love from fans and the animation, film, and voice-over communities has meant so much to us,” the organization wrote in its announcement.

VIP Package ticket holders can request a full refund by emailing info@cartoonsunited.com. General admission ticket holders should contact the Alex Theatre directly for refunds.
Those who prefer to donate the cost of their ticket to Bauza’s family can do so by not requesting a refund, organizers said.
We have a strict rule here about not linking to individual GoFundMe, Kickstarter, Patreon, or similar fundraising pages. That said, anyone visiting the Saturday Morning Cartoons United website may happen to find a Patreon link at the bottom of the page, with proceeds going to Bauza’s family.
The team, led by Bauza’s fiancé, Caro Beurmann, asked for patience as it responds to inquiries while grieving its co-founder. “Please know that every inquiry will be addressed and every ticket holder will be taken care of,” the statement said.
