The lightning-in-a-bottle success of Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation’s KPop Demon Hunters has been impossible to miss this summer. The film is already Netflix’s fourth most-watched original ever, and looks poised to take the top spot. Its soundtrack is dominating the charts, and social media is overflowing with posts about the movie, including contributions from some of the artists who helped bring it to life.

Senior animator Eric Stinnissen has posted the most fun BTS video we’ve seen so far, featuring a brief explainer and side-by-side video about an animation reference he shared with directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans.

Fellow senior animator Daniel Ceballos posted a reference video of his own, this one featuring Sony Imageworks animation lead Joy Liu.

Not to be outdone, Liu shared this choreography reference.

Story artist Alex Chiu has flooded X with artwork and storyboards.

Sony Pictures Animation director Guillermo Martinez’s contribution to the film was an absolute scream.

According to Rad Sechrist (creator of the Emmy-nominated Kipo and the Age of Wonder Beasts), the film’s tiger design was loosely based on his own cat.

As much as we’d like to spend the rest of our day looking for more KPDH BTS artwork and footage, we’ve got other work to do. So, if you’ve seen anything we missed, feel free to post in the comments below, and we’ll add it to this article.
