Paramount Snatches ‘Frozen’ Head of Animation Lino DiSalvo

Disney veteran Lino DiSalvo, the head of animation on "Frozen" who gained notoriety for comments about animating women, has left Disney to join Paramount Animation as its creative director. He is also slated to direct an upcoming animated feature at the studio.

New Artwork from Nick’s Upcoming ‘Funny’ Shows

As part of its recent upfront presentation, Nickelodeon released new art from their previously announced series: "Pig Goat Banana Cricket," "Bad Seeds" and "Welcome to the Wayne." If their new slate of shows look comedy-centric, it's the result of Nick's market research, which revealed to them that children rank laughter as more important than vacation, family meals and holidays.

Do you realize it’s been over a decade before Spongebob Squarepants aired “Bubble Buddy?” That’s all I could think of as Steven Universe started this week. With that Spongebob still imprinted in my mind (booboo keys…) and Steven’s history of having minimal acquaintances, I assumed he too would be making poppable companions. I couldn’t have been further from the truth. There were earthquakes, a couple of new characters, and a budding romance.
