The Animation Showcase The Animation Showcase

The Animation Showcase has launched its 2026 collection, making 15 animated shorts available to stream for free for verified animation and film industry professionals.

The selection brings together festival titles ranging from six to 21 minutes, giving industry viewers a chance to catch films they missed on the circuit or revisit them during awards season. Access requires registration and verification of professional credentials.

Featured shorts include Anna Mantzaris’s Please, which recently won the shorts Special Jury Prize at Animation Is Film, and Stephen P. Neary’s Living with a Visionary, which won the animation short jury awards at both Sundance and AFI Fest.

The collection also includes Apart, directed by Pola Maneli and co-written by Spike Lee, and God Is Shy. Apart follows a friendship between two boys in apartheid South Africa, with a creative team that includes music supervisor Black Coffee and costume designer Laduma Ngxokolo.

Alongside the 15-film collection, the platform offers curated sections dedicated to Miyu and the National Film Board of Canada. Across all the platform’s selections, available titles include Acid City, Bread Will Walk, Corpus Christi, Cosmonauts, Dog Alone, The End, Once Upon a Body, Paradaïz, Praying Mantis, Saba, Sulaimani, What We Leave Behind, and more.

The collection arrives as The Animation Showcase marks its tenth anniversary. Founded by curator Benoit Berthe Siward, the organization combines curated screenings with promotion and awards strategy for animated shorts and features. Its industry streaming platform launched during the Covid-19 lockdown and now has more than 50,000 verified professionals, according to the organization.

“When I started The Animation Showcase 10 years ago, the ambition was simple: to help remarkable animated films reach the audiences they deserve,” Berthe Siward said in a statement. “That passion continues to guide every collection we curate.”

Previous films hosted on the platform include Flee, Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, Memoir of a Snail, Arco, and Little Amélie, alongside Oscar-winning shorts such as The Windshield Wiper and In the Shadow of the Cypress.

Existing members can sign in to watch the collection. New viewers can request free access through Cartoon Brew’s sign-up link. Applicants must provide an email address and evidence of industry work, such as an IMDb, LinkedIn, or Vimeo profile. Once approved, they will receive an email with instructions on how to access the platform.
